So, we’re playing shows again from this month after an extended lay off to write our new ting. Just to get any disappointment out of the way up front, we won’t be playing any of our old material.
We know that there’s a core of people who’ve been with us since the start who know and (we hope) love our records, and Sandra and pedestals and stalemate will always have a warm place reserved for them in our ear canals.
BUT
We’ve spent 6 months taking apart what it is that OLI does and how the record that we want to make will sound. This record will be called Collected Works I. For all that it’s a massive cliché, we’re certain that this is the best music we’ve ever made. It’s a shade over 28 minutes of choruses, riffs and gratuitous post rock bits that we hope you’ll love.
Cheers,
T.
Upcoming Gigs:
22nd May - Fighting Cocks - Kingston
20th July - Summer Westival - Aldershot West End Centre

OLYMPIANS // THE DICTIONARY
So, we decided to make a video for our next Book Club single, and use a book with the words in it. Our good friend Parkin said he’d draw some stuff in it too, so we posted him a book of plays, and 7 days later TO THE DAY the postman brought us back this tome of lunacy with only a note that read ‘doing this in a week nearly killed me’. Then we filmed it and the rest kind of did itself. Enjoy.
